That's some advices I gave a level 6 player:
Stop questing for a while. You should concentrate now on skilling. If you're strong enough to beat without a problem most Level 11 players, then you "can" move one, but you don't have to. Gondal is not a typical game. A higher level is a punishment..
It's always better to attack players which are 5 levels higher because you' ll get more gold from them (10% instead of 5% for a player your level or 1% for a player 4 level under you). Believe me, that you can earn much! more gold in the arena, than through services. So attack, attack, attack and write all the "goldies" on a piece of paper. People who carry a lot of gold with them, show a tendancy to do that more often

Focus now on getting the arena and honour bonus! Attack players with a lower endurance/stamina. Than you'll probably win and the time to the next attack, is not very long -> you can make more attacks.
When you start to quest again, do only! the number one quests. You can't lose them and you won't get that much experience for them-> you can make more-> the chance for finding a crystal is higher.
Before questing, train the perception of your mount to maximum!!! And I recommend not to give a single piece of gold for the experience bonus in your guild...
Don't spend any crystals until you reach level 16., if you don't buy them... EDIT: Now you can buy at least a good weapon and a shield with a good blockrate (that's the most important thing at a shield), because of the extra PCs you get through the achievments. There hasn't been any, when I wrote that.

Never carry a high amount of gold with you. Put it directly into your skills!
Don't focus on guildhonour, that will come later. It's not difficult to make a lot of honour and get a good rank, but it's very difficult to stay at that rank for a long period, especially in not very active times

Hint: Do never sell the first weapon you gained. It could be, you'll need it one day. If you don't have it anymore, kepp the actual forever.
and that's what I wrote once in another thread:
chill, everything depends on your activity and your preferance. The quicker you raise your level, the easier it's to beat you. In the higher levels you won't make gold in the arena...
There are 2 strategies:
One is being a lowlevel and make gold in the arena, the other is being a highlevel and earning gold through services.
Generally speaking I would recommend every player to stay as long as possible in the lower levels and find as most as possible goldies to get strong basic skills. Then you can level. The difference to your opponent in the highlevels are just your basic skills, because you make both the same amount of money later through services.
Moonspell, I recommend to make skill stops every 5 level. 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26,31 At these levels the merchant offers completely new equipment. (look at the link I posted earlier)
